The Model 108 heated sample diluter dilutes a high-concentration gas sample at a dilution ratio of 1:10 or 1:100 to enable linear measurement of total hydrocarbon concentrations ranging from several tens of thousands of ppm up to 10% and above. For a faster response and better scale and zero stability, sample injection is our method of choice in this heated sample diluter, which has proven its efficiency over
decades. Model 108 is also used to minimise the negative effects caused by high concentrations of interfering compounds, contamination and high-water content. Furthermore, it is possible to largely avoid memory effects, also known as hydrocarbon hold-up, caused by the condensation of heavy hydrocarbons and other condensed impurities in the gas sample.
